Hi, I’m Dr. Carly!
Nice to meet you.
Evidence-based care. Compassionate support. A partner through every stage of your journey.
Whether you're trying to conceive, navigating fertility treatment, experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, preparing for postpartum, or simply looking for answers you can trust, my goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in your decisions.
I'm a naturopathic doctor, educator, researcher, and mom to two incredible kids, ages 8 and 10. Outside the clinic, you'll usually find us hiking through the Dundas Valley Conservation Area, exploring local waterfalls, or enjoying time outdoors. I also love strength training, running, yoga and, yes, coffee is very much a personality trait.
I'm endlessly curious and genuinely love medical research. Every recommendation I make is grounded in the best available evidence and thoughtfully translated into practical care that fits your life. My patients deserve more than wellness trends. They deserve science, context, and individualized support.
Why this work matters to me
My passion for women's health became deeply personal during my first pregnancy when I was unexpectedly diagnosed with acute kidney failure. Suddenly, I wasn't just a healthcare provider. I was a patient navigating a complex medical system while preparing to become a mom.
Years later, I underwent a kidney transplant, giving me an entirely new perspective on healthcare from the other side of the exam room. Experiencing medicine as both practitioner and patient has shaped every aspect of how I care for others. I understand what it feels like to make difficult medical decisions, advocate for yourself, and search for someone who truly listens.
That experience strengthened my belief that everyone deserves a healthcare provider who takes the time to explain the evidence, collaborates with their healthcare team, and provides personalized, compassionate care through every stage of the reproductive journey.
Education & Leadership
I hold an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University and a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Alongside my clinical practice, I serve as an Adjunct Professor in the Health Sciences Department at McMaster University, where I teach nutrition research and critical appraisal of the medical literature. I also lecture internationally and serve on the Board of Directors for NDoula Community Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving equitable access to perinatal care.
Above all, I believe healthcare should leave you feeling empowered, not overwhelmed. My role is to help you understand your options, make informed decisions, and feel supported every step of the way.
